I Did it!!!! 50,000 words in 30 days. I won Nanowrimo!!!! Wheeee!
37,227. Man. Facebook, tweets and answering email should count for Nano words, don’t you think?
36,379. That’s where I’m at on my Nano. So, my writer friends, where are you? (If not nano, what are you working on?)
Okay, doing word sprints again. Up to 29k. Go me!
Wow. I only got 3k words written yesterday. Today I’m going for 5k. Who’s with me?
Housework done, only at 25k on Nano. So little time and so much left to do.
Everyone at my house is having a lazy day but me. Housework, laundry, Nano. It just never ends. Sigh.
Hey all my writer friends! Nano Crunch Time! I’m at 22k, where are you?
What’s your favorite holiday of the year? Mine is probably thanksgiving. Not that I don’t love the others, like Christmas, or New Year, or the 4th of July, (If you’re in the states). But, hey, any day that you get to cook all day and then eat to your heart’s content can’t be bad, right?
Of course, it’s not just that. I have such fond memories of getting up Thanksgiving morning watching the Macy’s Parade, watching my mom rushing around the kitchen, and finally the house filling up with such good smells like baked turkey and apple pie.
What’s not to love?
Then, when I was grown with my own kids, watching them enjoy the same things I did. Then, watching their excitement when they saw Santa’s float at the very end of the parade was just as thrilling for them as I remember. Oh yeah, that makes it one of the best years ever.
Now, my girls are nearly grown, thinking about their own futures, doing things with boyfriends and their families and such. I know that they’re going to have some great things to remember and then make memories of their own.
I hope you all have a great holiday season and if you get the chance, come and share your favorite holiday traditions with us!
Yep. I’m still up, still writing, and I’ve passed 10k words on Nano book. Sweet.
